Okay...Today was amazing! But definitely exhausting. I am very tired so I am going to keep this one short and sweet but with a lot of pictures. I'm sure I will tell you guys all about this later.

Firstly, we got a new student in our classroom. She was in a class too easy for her yesterday so today she was with us! She's from Gardner-Webb and her name is Stephanie. It's cool because we met actually on the plane (she sat next to me) and figured out we were going to the same place! Her group doesn't come until next week (she came early so she could leave in time to attend her brother's graduation) so we kind of had adopted her anyways. She's a Spanish major also so she's very good at Spanish.
THEN after lunch we went to Manatieles (or something like that) which is like a pool and hangout area in a nearby town and a guide took us up on a hiking adventure to-> Las Cataratas= Waterfall. Because it had rained it was pretty muddy so we kept slipping while we were hiking which was really quite amusing and then we got to the waterfall (which was amazing) and got SOAKED.

When we came back from the waterfall we swam in the pool and had a blast. Seriously, we were laughing and playing it was awesome. Then it POURED- hahaha. I was soaked pretty much all afternoon but I came home to a warm casa with dry clean clothes and yummy soup for dinner!

Where's the pics of the boys jumping in the waterfall? So did you all swim in your clothes or did you have bathing suits on? Gardner Webb keeps trying to recruit Julie and we get emails for them all the time. Nice that you adopted her with your group! What do you do all morning in those Spanish classes? I guess I will asked that tonight on Skype:) love the pics!
ReplyDeleteokay I actually did not take those pictures of the boys...I was already soaked by that point so I decided to leave my camera alone. Sorry! I forgot. But Courtney and JM both got some I know for sure. This weekend maybe some people will upload pictures?
